A low pressure system moving through southern California will bring cooler temperatures to the area along with a few thunderstorms over the mountains. This trough will bring slightly higher relative humidities and cooler temperatures to central California and a slight threat of thunderstorms over the Sierras. High pressure building across the Pacific Northwest that will bring near record high temperatures and gusty east winds to southwest Oregon. Northern California will remain hot and dry.
